As soon as you sign in, everything you do on the site takes place over a secure connection, similar to what happens on an internet banking site – everything is secure and encrypted.
All data is stored on multiple hard disks to allow eHive to continue running in the case of a hardware failure. eHive servers are also secured so that only standard web access is allowed, which prevents external access to other software and commands on the server. Data storage and backup is handled by our hosting company, Rimu Hosting. Their data centres back up the data to different geographic locations to preserve data in an extreme event, such as a fire. These data centres have backup power systems, back up air conditioning, multiple independent connections to the internet, closed circuit monitoring, card key access and 24 hour guards. Your account is currently only accessible to you as the account holder, unless you wish to let others share your account by telling them your password. All passwords must be at least 6 characters long and include letters and numbers, so they can’t be easily determined or hacked.
