How to multiple users access one eHive account

Postby DanETH » Sun Apr 28, 2013 2:54 am

There are several people who will be making changes and adding information to our historical society eHive account. Do we all have to use the same eHive ID and password or can they log into the same account using their own password?

Multiple users can log in using the same eHive ID and password.

At present there is no option to create multiple user IDs and passwords in eHive for one account. This is a planned feature and is likely to be developed next year. See our roadmap: http://ehive.com/roadmap

What would happen if two people are working from home and unknowingly both people log in and start using eHive at the same time? Would an error message result?

No, both users can be logged in at the same time. We have several sites with more than one person working at the same time.

This is great news! Will it be possible to restrict the functionality so that some users are restricted to which records they can edit and so on.

Many thanks,

Pat

Hi Pat,
This is part of the longer term roadmap for eHive, but is fairly far down the list at this stage: https://ehive.com/roadmap

Kind regards,
Paul
